Traditionally, Abuko, Mansakonko, Bansang and Basse transmission sites formed the terrestrial transmission network from the early days of Post and Telecommunication.

DGL managing the same facilities, is home to house Mobile Telecommunication Base Stations of operators namely Gamcell, Qcell and Africell.  DGL provides Co-location facility to mobile operators in the Gambia.
