Signal Distribution

The Gambia would want to comply with ITU GE 06 agreement and implement its migration from analog to Digital Broadcasting.  The establishment of a platform for signal distribution is key to that migration. 

Ultimately, the project would have six (6) transmission sites built in the Gambia covering the entire country.

The transmitter sites are located in Abuko to provide coverage for the greater Banjul area, part of the North Bank Region (NBR) and West Coast Region (WCR). The next transmitter site is located in Kanilai to provide coverage for most part of WCR, part of North Bank Region (NBR) and Lower River Region (LRR).

Lower River Region is home to the third transmission site located in MansaKonko to give coverage to rest of NBR and LRR.

Transmitter sites in Kudang, Bansang and Basse are to provide satisfactory coverage to rest of the country with no coverage gap through out the length and breadth of The Gambia.
